Formally established BME Faculty Member Dan Moran as our likely client/sponsor due to his expertise in neural interfaces, previously established relationship with two of our group members, and reliable contact through enrollment in his Bioelectric Phenomena course. Held a meeting to explore our initial spaces of interest that landed on the stroke outcome exoskeleton. See Meeting Notes for further info.
8/29
Researched further into feasibility of the Exoskeleton as a project to pursue by gathering information via journal articles to help anchor us in the field.
8/30
Reached out to Dr. Moran to coordinate a meeting with physical therapy expert Catherine Lang to interview her regarding if there is a sensible need for the project. To prepare for the meeting we began combing and annotating Lang's relevant publications involving our Stroke Outcome Exoskeleton. Initial concern was raised regarding a product that captured individual finger movements from a company Lang utilized, which may infringe on the space/need for our project.
